| OK I will not make this long as I am not a
good writer of prose.
I am sick to death of the interchange bench and the
rotation policy. With particular reference the purple
dream team and its coach Colonel Connolly. Before I
continue I will point out that one D.Cometti agrees with my
view, which is - the interchange bench is killing the better
players in the game who are continually tagged because it is
used to keep players fresh. The bench was introduced
in the mists of time so if a player got injured, the team
could replace him. In the codes of Rugby and Football
this is still the case as it should be.
But with Australian Football we now have the situation
where a professional Australian Rules Footballer is
considered not fit enough to run an entire game out. He
takes time out ever quarter so he can impact in a shorter
period of time. This makes the game too quick, and it
means the Voss's Hird's and Crawford's of the league who
don't take breaks are continually harassed and have to work
harder.
We should be looking to slow the game down and I think
going back to a replacing role for the bench would be a good
start.
And bring back Mooossseee!!!!
